My path and my work

My work is centered around human development. Working with children, I learned how profoundly early childhood influences the rest of one's life. In my role as a Montessori teacher, I observed and participated in the development of many children from ages 2 to 6. Every step in this development also holds the potential for crisis. My goal is to help people thrive—in every phase of their lives, whether alone, as a couple, as a larger relationship constellation, or as a family.

My Professional Journey

After school, I studied Education (Mag.) and Special Education(Mag.) at the University of Vienna. This field of study dealt with all the unique aspects of development and supporting individuals with increased support requirements. Over the years, I specialized in working with children and adolescents with learning challenges and intellectual disabilities. After completing my studies, I obtained my special education teaching qualification (BEd.) and worked for many years as a teacher for children with special educational needs. However, something always seemed to be missing: support in social and emotional development.

Initially, I supplemented my education with a diploma as a Coach from the Institute for Potential-Focused Coaching. This greatly supported me in fostering independence and in my work with parents.

A few years ago, I transitioned entirely into the psychosocial field and now hold several positions at SES Stadlauerstraße: as a counseling teacher for elementary school, middle school, and special needs classes, and as part of the mobile crisis team. Since 2024, I have been working in my private practice as a systemic family therapist in training under supervision.

My Systemic Approach

"Systemic" for me means that in my work, I focus on the environment and the interactions within my clients' lives. While working with families is particularly close to my heart, I also very much enjoy supporting adults. If you're interested, I'm happy to tell you more about my specializations. I also gladly offer my therapy sessions in English.

Visual Methods

As shown in the pictures below, in addition to conversation and the therapeutic relationship, I also enjoy offering visual methods (constellations, sand pictures). These allow for shifts in perspective, which can help you to emerge from a problem trance. This makes solutions more apparent. System boards, sand pictures, and constellations enable trying out new behaviors in a safe environment.
